Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast or Amalfi Coast (costiera Amalfitana) is a famous coast in the Campania region. Officially, the Amalfi Coast is only on the south side of the Sorrento Peninsula. Yet the north side of this peninsula is also sometimes called that.
The Amalfi Coast runs from Positano in the west to Vietri sul Mare in the east. It is generally regarded as one of the most beautiful coasts in the world. Not only because of the azure blue sea, the beautiful nature and the white rocks, but also because of the beautiful, colorful coastal towns. Every year, tourists from all over the world come to the Amalfi Coast, which is also on the Unesco World Heritage List. The coast takes its name from the town of Amalfi, which is geographically and historically the core of the area.
If you're in the area, don't miss a drive along the coastal road and soak up all the beauty that this piece of Italy has to offer.
