Campania
Campania (in Italian Campania) is a region in southern Italy. It borders Latium (Lazio), Molise (to the north), Apulia and Basilicata.
The region, known for the buffalo farms and the buffalo mozzarella made there, borders the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west. The region covers 13.595 km² and is home to about 6 million Italians.
The Romans called the region Campania Felix, meaning 'happy landscape'. The regional capital is Naples (Napoli in Italian), the 3rd largest city in Italy. About 3 million people live in the conglomeration (Naples with all its suburbs).
Campania is also known as the region of Vesuvius, the ancient Roman city of Pompeii and the beautiful Amalfi Coast, along which you can take both car and boat trips that you will never forget.
