A story about two indivisible sisters: indivisible. Dasy and Viola share everything together, willingly and unwillingly. They are conjoined twins joined at the hips. The director portrays the life, desires and feelings of these two girls in a gray coastal town near Naples.
the setting
Castel Volturno is a coastal town just north of Naples, close to the Neapolitan neighborhood of Scampia where the movie hit Gomorrah and the series of the same name were recorded. And where the Dutch photographer Kristian van Kuijk beautiful portrait made of. A poor neighborhood where crime is rampant in families, in entire neighbourhoods. A desolate place where people do not grow up in happiness. Where ignorant children cannot escape their oppressive environment.

This desolation and hopelessness is portrayed in the family of the two girls. A mother who is already smoking joints in the morning, a father who gambles on his daughters' money and a house full of expensive and pointless electronics. Earned from the dubious trade in the girls.
Music
Naples is known for its sentimental music. Opera-like long lashes and the sad song of life. The city has a long tradition in this. It started with Enrico Caruso who popularized classical music at the beginning of the 20th century.
This gained new momentum in the 50s with the well-known Totò who Malafemmena sang and later with Roberto Murolo who also sang in Neapolitan with, for example, the beautiful song Io te vurria vasa. This film continues that tradition. Enzo Avitabile, a Neapolitan born in 1955, now sings the soundtracks for this film: Tutt'egual song 'e criature.
Revenue model
The conjoined twins are an opportunity for the parents to escape poverty. They are forced to perform as singers. As a kind of fairground attraction or religious experience. The two girls are beautiful and can sing well and the wonder of the connection on top of that enchants people.
People who can't see beyond that coincidence and see it as something magical. The individuality of the girls and their characters are denied by everyone around them. As conjoined twins, they are worth more than as individuals. This naturally provokes protest when they are teenagers. They try to escape the fate chosen by their environment, but will they succeed?
