The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most famous Italian structures. This 55 high tower is more than 4 meters out of plumb.
Outside Pisa you can of course also travel to beautiful destinations such as Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Pistoia and Florence. For Florence you should actually allow more than a day.

Can't get enough of the Tuscan coast? In Viareggio you can still see a lot of what the old fishing town used to look like. In this part of the Tuscan coast you can stay on the beach fairly cheaply, even if you are not staying at a campsite by the sea.
