Sardinia in winter

Sardinia is a relatively large island located near Italy, to which this island officially belongs. Although the island is very popular in the summer, this does not mean that it is not also perfect for vacationing in the winter.

In summer Sardinia attracts many tourists thanks to the wonderfully warm weather and the opportunity to enjoy the sun, sea and of course the beautiful beaches. Yet there is much more to do on this beautiful island.

The climate in Sardinia

In summer it is an average of 28 degrees, but in winter the temperatures are certainly not unpleasant. You don't have to count on cold days when it freezes, because the temperature still remains relatively high. For example, in the months of December and January it is about 14 degrees. In October it is even an average of 21 degrees, which is certainly not wrong.

However, 14 degrees is a perfect temperature. Not too cold, but certainly not too hot, making it perfect for doing all kinds of things on this beautiful island. The amount of precipitation is also not that bad, although a raincoat is never superfluous in the winter to put in your holiday suitcase.

What can you do in Sardinia?

First, you can visit Basilica di Sant'Antioco. This is a beautiful building where you can opt for a guided tour for only a few euros. Moreover, Basilica di Sant'Antioco is located on a small square where there is much more to do. Here you will find all kinds of nice shops and the square itself is also very special. Enjoy the restaurants and ensure an unforgettable day on this beautiful square.

Roman time

Another special building is the Torre di Porta Terra. Highly rated by travelers who have already preceded you. The building is already very old and therefore perfect for someone who loves history and is looking for the buildings that have been there for centuries. Then there is the Monumenti di Turris Libisonis. This is a bridge that dates back to Roman times. What is special about this bridge is that it is still in good condition, unlike many other buildings.

The golf courses in Sardinia are also open in winter. Golf is a sport that absolutely belongs to this island, and there are many golf courses to be found. Although it's not for everyone, it's fine to give it a try. A nice outing for the winter months, especially if you are staying there for a longer period of time.

Wintering in Sardinia

Finally, the winter temperatures are perfect for long walks. In summer the temperatures are often too high for this. You will see everything passing by, from old buildings to the most special nature.

Winter prices of remote work in Sardinia is certainly possible. And if a longer stay is not an option, you can also stay for one or more weeks. There is also a wide range of holiday homes in Sardinia, so finding suitable accommodation is no problem. Sardinia is therefore a suitable holiday destination in both summer and winter.
