At the invitation of Umbria Tourism, I spent a few December days in the green heart of Italy: Umbria. I made an impression on video, which takes you in fifteen minutes to the highlights of this beautiful region: Umbria in December.
Dutch, Flemish and German representatives from various media were invited via a Dutch and a German PR agency to look at the preparations for Christmas in Umbria.
Dat Christmas grand is celebrated in Italy in general and in Umbria in particular is clear. We couldn't escape the colorful Christmas decorations, nativity scenes, Christmas trees and of course the masses in the numerous churches. And yes, we even have the largest Christmas tree in the world spotted.
The best of Umbria
We visited Assisi, Todi, Terni, Perugia, Gubbio, Citta della Pieva and Orvieto. We also did the Cascate delle marmore and the Trasimenomer .
We ate from the Umbrian cuisine (extremely tasty and very abundant) and we drank from the excellent wines that come from this area.
But above all we got to know the hospitality of the Umbrians and we enjoyed the company of each other. Dream away with the video for an impression of the wealth that Umbria has to offer. In winter, but apart from the Christmas decorations and the nativity scenes, most of it is also there in the summer.
Have you ever been to Umbria in December?
