4. Lancia Aurelia B24 in Il Sorpasso (The Easy Life, 1962)

The Easy life is a cult comedy directed by Dino Risi. It is probably one of the best movies Italy has ever produced. An important role is played by the Lancia Aurelia B24 where the three protagonists Vittorio Gassman as the 40-year-old jaded Bruno, Jean-Louis Trintignant as the young student Roberto and Catherine Spaak as Bruno's daughter Lilly ride through Rome, Lazio and Tuscany. The chemistry between them and the journey they make in this special car will keep you looking.

Two cars were used for the film: a light blue one for the outside shots and a blue-green one for the studio shots inside. The color of the car was not important: the film is in black and white. And in case anyone is concerned about the tragic fate of the Lancia Aurelia: at the end of the film, another Italian car is sacrificed, the Siata 1400 Cabriolet.
