1. Lake Maggiore
Italy's second largest lake stretches from the Southern Alps into Lombardy to its northern neighbor Switzerland. In the summer, the Spirit of Woodstock Festival takes place on the riverbanks. 2. The Stelvio Pass
The Stelvio Pass connects Stelvio in South Tyrol with Bormio. Built by the Austrian Empire in 1820, not much has changed since then. It is one of the highest paved mountain passes in the Italian Alps and is best known for its spectacular 48 hairpin bends.
The more than 20 kilometers long Pass of the Stelvio is located in the beautiful Alps of Northern Italy and is known as one of the toughest cycling stages of the Giro d'Italia. The guys from Top Gear called it the most beautiful road in the whole world!

3. Gran Paradise National Park
That name is not an exaggeration. This beautiful park, the oldest national park in Italy, is named after the Gran Paradiso mountain. It can be found in the northwestern part of the Italian Alps, in the regions of Valle d'Aosta and Piedmont and is rightfully one of the most beautiful places in the Alps. In addition to the striking landscape, the valleys, the mountain lakes, the glaciers and the alpine meadows, you will find several endangered species here, such as the Alpine ibex, chamois, eagle owls and many more. There are several small villages scattered throughout the park, where tourists can get information about the park in visitor centers.

Many people come to it Gran Paradise National Park to take a brisk walk and enjoy the fantastic view of the Alps. The animal life here is so rich that you don't have to make any effort to spot different species.

4. Aosta Valley

5. Lake Como
